What began as a small boutique in the heart of Mumbai’s Opera House jewellery district, Rose, founded by Purnima Sheth on 11 January, 1981, took a pivotal turn when her younger brother, Biren Vaidya, joined the business. Biren’s artistic flair and entrepreneurial vision transformed Rose from a niche jewellery store into the pioneering brand that it is today offering fine jewellery, luxury watches and lifestyle accessories.

Biren Vaidya’s vision and design for this one-of-a-kind flagship store were brought to life by Zaki Sheikh, the founder and principal architect of Parthenon Architects, who meticulously implemented every detail, turning Biren’s dream into reality.

I got my BA in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley, and went on to receive my Master’s in English and French from the University of Strasbourg, France. I have also studied German and Film.
