An authentic soccer boot design

There’s a new shoe in town, and it just might out-dribble the rest. Within the Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring Summer 2025 collection, presented as an extensive runway show, a series of LV Footprint Soccer shoes completes the globetrotting identities on display: travellers, workers, athletes, stars. The LV Footprint Soccer is the first of its kind designed by Pharrell Williams – inspired by authentic cleated boots from the world of field sports.

This sleek sneaker, consisting of a laced calf leather upper and a padded rubber outsole, expresses brand signatures throughout its design. Floral motifs taken from the Louis Vuitton Monogram and an interlinked LV logo are stretched to form a stylized, five-toed footprint on the articulated sole, giving it the ability to leave an LV stamp on soft ground.

The upper is quilted in sloping lines around the toe, ramp, and heel, informed by a modern soccer cleat’s specified support and aerodynamism. A leather tongue, which folds forward to cover a monogrammed shoelace, is embossed with a specially designed LVERS UNITED logo that references the professional soccer universe. The distinctive LV logo is repeated in large format as a double-quilted detail on the side of the shoe, above a smaller Vuitton stamp in an athletics-intoned font. The year 1854 appears on the back, as a nod to the House’s beginnings.

The LV Footprint Soccer arrives in a bold, monochromatic palette, each a single, solid hue with white highlights: black, white, blue, red, or forest green. Its outsole is a continuation of the upper’s color, with prints in a lighter shade to further effect dimension.

The new LV Crush Beanies

Gear up and head out in style with the Louis Vuitton beanie, which has become a de rigueur accessory – practical yet expressive, it easily showcases the insignias and patterns representative of the House’s heritage. The LV Crush Beanie expands on the succinctness of such a statement piece, epitomizing a strong, simple silhouette that sits comfortably atop the head in a thick fold.

The emblematic Damier motif, invented by Georges Vuitton in 1888 for a set of canvas luggage, is translated to soft wool knitwear and then again reimagined in Louis Vuitton’s signature Damoflage, which fuses the balance of mapped out checkerboard squares with the organic tonality of pixelated camouflage.

The LV Crush Beanie is also seen in an innovative 3D Monogram style, which utilizes a knitting technique that emboldens and gives dimension to a repeated, tone-on-tone LV Monogram. The effect is jacquard-like, imbuing the thoroughly modern design with a sense of artisanal heritage.

The LV Crush Beanie is defined by its versatility and vivid identity. Proportionally enlarged motifs create an off-kilter appearance, made with supple, meticulously crafted wool or cotton blend yarns in weaves loose enough to comply with multiple folding arrangements, from baggy to bunched.

Lifestyle Insider is a kind of junction point, connecting people with diverse interests that touch on the more luxurious aspects of lifestyle – fashion, design, travel, food and spirits, art, watches and jewellery, cars, yachts, and aviation, and technology. People today don’t fit into boxes and categories. In our individual ways, we are interested in diverse themes, products, and the challenges that face our world today. You will judge how well this effort of mine caters to your passions and proclivities.

Lifestyle Insider is a showcase of all that is beautiful and luxe. Behind every creation, is a designer, chef, entrepreneur, or a design maison. I have delved into my own appreciation for objetsde luxe that I have admired over the years – be it a love of fashion from the world’s top Parisian and Italian fashion maisons and their ’90s muses, or the care that goes into sari and Indian textile collections in my own family. Growing up on four continents, as the daughter of a former Indian Ambassador, I’ve seen a remarkable array of historic places and met a myriad people. My aim is to bring my world view into this website, a curation of what I find particularly stunning, unique, and newsworthy.

It’s an exciting time for brands all over the world. With change comes opportunity. With the global ‘reset’ and uncertainty on many fronts, there is a chance to write a new script. Let’s be those pioneers.

A bit about me:
