Ermenegildo Zegna gets even greener with its iconic Triple Stitch Sneaker, while Grammy-nominated American DJ Steve Aoki creates his own limited edition of the Triple Stitch.

It’s the sneaker du jour. This season, the iconic Triple Stitch Sneaker makes progressive strides forward with a contemporary new spectrum of colours and materials, now including a #UseTheExisting TM version. Reducing Zegna’s ecological footprint, this #UseTheExisting TM sneaker encompasses the brand’s green vision for the future. The new version of the Triple Stitch Sneaker features a soft wool upper made from recovered 14MILMIL14 fibres, threads, and fabrics from all phases of the production process. The lining and sole are constructed from partially recycled cotton and rubber, stepping closer towards Zegna’s goal of zero waste.

The newly envisioned #UseTheExisting TM wool version of the Triple Stitch Sneaker is available in a selection of materials like soft suede, grained calf leather, deerskin and canvas, finished with signature elasticated straps, forming the iconic XXX logo, so it can slip on and off with ease. Worn with both tailored and casual outfits, this modern shoe is the definition of versatility and made for every moment.

Steve Aoki creates his own Triple Stitch Sneaker
Grammy nominated DJ, Producer, Designer, and Entrepreneur, Steve Aoki, joined Zegna’s global community of Modern Voices and created his very own Triple Stitch Sneaker. A limited edition of 77 pairs will be created worldwide, each uniquely marked. The desire to reinterpret Zegna’s iconic Triple Stitch Sneaker was born of the open conversation of changes in the men’s wardrobe to a more casual and contemporary aesthetic.

The Triple Stitch Sneaker is a refined leisure shoe that embodies Zegna’s heritage, showcasing the iconic triple crossing-elastic detail, which mimics three hand stitches featuring the personalized number on the licence plate, making a one-of-a-kind piece together with the Steve Aoki logo and the iconic XXX detail on the spoiler. The slip-on fit and the lightweight, flexible rubber outsole, in Aoki blue, makes wearing these leather lined suede sneakers easy, providing optimal comfort.

A luxury and fashion journalist with 25 years of experience in publishing and magazine journalism, I have edited some of India’s top fashion and luxury magazines. I got my BA in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley, and went on to receive my Master’s in English and French from the University of Strasbourg, France. I have also studied German and Film.
