Fitting with the tradition of all custom Louis Vuitton pieces, the FORMULA 1® LOUIS VUITTON AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2025 trophy trunk is crafted at the House's historic atelier in Asnières, in France. The two folding front panels of the trunk are hand painted with a V – both for “Victory” and “Vuitton” – in emblematic green and yellow, recalling the colours of Australia. The interior is covered by black leather to protect the trophy. The exterior is finished with leather trim and the same brass corner protectors, lock and clasps that have been used on Louis Vuitton trunks since the 1860s.

The Asnières workshop is also where the first automotive trunks were designed under Georges Vuitton, the son of Louis Vuitton, in 1897. Over the following 125 years, Louis Vuitton has remained closely associated with automotive culture. When George foresaw the growing popularity of cars and travel, he created a durable canvas material called “Vuittonite” to substitute for leather, which ensured the trunks could withstand the elements. This invention would evolve into today’s iconic Louis Vuitton canvas.

With this latest creation, Louis Vuitton perpetuates a tradition dear to the House: creating trunks to transport, protect and showcase the trophies of the world’s most anticipated and highly prized sporting competitions. From the workshop to the racetrack, overlapping themes of teamwork, precision, and inventiveness bond the two worlds of fashion and sport, and the broader ambition of greatness shared by Louis Vuitton and Formula 1®.

Today, from the atelier to the paddock, teamwork, precision and innovation are amongst the values that bridge the two universes and that underscore the relentless quest towards victory. This is why the new Trophy Trunks, covered by the emblematic Monogram of the House, will be emblazoned with the iconic “V”, in a unique local colour scheme for each race against the classic brown background.

Lifestyle Insider is a kind of junction point, connecting people with diverse interests that touch on the more luxurious aspects of lifestyle – fashion, design, travel, food and spirits, art, watches and jewellery, cars, yachts, and aviation, and technology. People today don’t fit into boxes and categories. In our individual ways, we are interested in diverse themes, products, and the challenges that face our world today. You will judge how well this effort of mine caters to your passions and proclivities.

Lifestyle Insider is a showcase of all that is beautiful and luxe. Behind every creation, is a designer, chef, entrepreneur, or a design maison. I have delved into my own appreciation for objetsde luxe that I have admired over the years – be it a love of fashion from the world’s top Parisian and Italian fashion maisons and their ’90s muses, or the care that goes into sari and Indian textile collections in my own family. Growing up on four continents, as the daughter of a former Indian Ambassador, I’ve seen a remarkable array of historic places and met a myriad people. My aim is to bring my world view into this website, a curation of what I find particularly stunning, unique, and newsworthy.

It’s an exciting time for brands all over the world. With change comes opportunity. With the global ‘reset’ and uncertainty on many fronts, there is a chance to write a new script. Let’s be those pioneers.
