First unveiled at the 2021 cruise show, the Dior Caro bag has been freshly reinvented by Maria Grazia Chiuri and placed at the heart of the House’s 2021 Spring-Summer ready-to-wear line.

Clad in supple leather punctuated by the emblematic cannage motif and adorned with a precious chain whose links evoke the “CD” signature – echoing the bag’s delicate clasp – this object of desire is available in two sizes and three timeless shades: black, grey and beige.

Each season, the bag comes in a range of enchanting new colours, an intense or summery palette – from raspberry pink and ocean blue to nude and cognac – and asserts its modernity in shades with subtle gradient effects, in indigo, burgundy and pink versions.

Exclusive models are enhanced by a reinterpreted denim canvas, featuring embroidery sublimating the texture of straw, or are adorned with the hypnotic Tie & Dior motif. A luxury and fashion journalist with 25 years of experience in publishing and magazine journalism, I have edited some of India’s top fashion and luxury magazines. I got my BA in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley, and went on to receive my Master’s in English and French from the University of Strasbourg, France. I have also studied German and Film.
